Welcome to Meenakshi World School. It is with enthusiasm and confidence that we begin another exciting year here at MWS.
MWS has a long and important history that makes it a special place. This year we hope to build on that strong tradition to help our students excel and to create stronger bonds with our families and the community. Our academic program is built around the needs of our students. Based on the scores, grades, and school assessments, our students will be provided the appropriate instruction that will help them to succeed. This might involve more instructional time, after school tutoring, learning center assistance, mentoring, academic clubs, and academic challenges. Our goal is to build an academic program that is both rigorous and motivating.

Meenakshi World School (MWS) is the Dream of Late Mrs. Anita Hada, a woman of substance, with a vision to provide the modern yet value based education, along with strong foundation of social values, inculcating the feeling of universal brotherhood, in a creative and free environment, while keeping in mind the high values of life at every step. MWS began its journey of success under her able guidance. To achieve the task left behind by our beloved Ma’am, we, at MWS, pledge to make her dream come true.
MWS started classes on 11th April, 08 and in its fourth academic year 2010-12, is offering Pre Nursery to KG and Grade 1 to 6 under the CIPP (Cambridge International Primary Programme),Grade VII-VIII under Cambridge Secondary I of CIE and Grade IX under Cambridge Secondary II of CIE (IGCSE) for session 2011-12 & eventually be offering ‘O’ Level (equivalent to Class X of CBSE) and the ‘A’ Level (equivalent to Class XII of CBSE) of Cambridge International Examination (CIE). Meenakshi World School is a Registered Centre of the University of Cambridge International Examinations, the world’s largest provider of international qualifications recognized worldwide.

Infrastructure
NAP ROOM
The school has a big Air Conditioned Nap Room where the tiny tots take rest after lunch. After sleeping for one hour they get up fresh for other activities.
COMPUTER LAB
The school has a modern computer lab fully equipped with latest hardware and software system, fully networked with the facility of internet.
LANGUAGE LAB
To make learning interesting, the school has established a state-of-the art language lab in which audio visual teaching is being undertaken to supplement the classroom teaching. The progress of each student is closely monitored by a dedicated educator. Keeping pace with the present time and the need for language proficiency, the school has designed and established this facility.
AQUATICS
The school has installed an exclusive modern well designed state-of-the-art swimming pool, with a superior quality filtration system. NIS Trained coach and life guard are always around to guard and train the children. Splash pools have also been provided for the Blooming Buds children.
BOOSTER, MID DAY ENERGIZER AND LUNCH
MWS is a Day Boarding institution and provides evening Booster, Mid Day Snacks and Lunch. Children are taught table etiquette. Keeping in mind their proper growth, they are served balanced diet approved by the dietician on our panel. Hygiene and cleanliness are the prime traits that are taken care of in the Mess Room by highly skilled staff that cook and serve a variety of healthy and nutritious food for the children.
LIBRARY AND RESOURCE ROOM
Reading, the key to success should be fun and not a chore. The school has a well stacked library with fiction, fact-files and other resource material. To inculcate the habit of reading, the students are advised (from time to time) to go through books which are provided according to their age level.
PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Physical education is emphasized at all levels for no education is complete without giving due importance to physical fitness. Values such as self-control, discipline, courage and perseverance are instilled amongst the children through a wide range of games and sports programmes based on their needs and interests.
SPORTS / PLAY FIELD
The school provides ample opportunities for physical, mental and moral development of each child. Various options of games & sports are
ACTIVITY HALL / A V ROOM
To make teaching more activity oriented, a specially designed and fully equipped Air conditioned Activity Hall has been established. This provides students the opportunity to get exposure to audio-visual learning, which helps in building confidence and shedding stage fear.
CONFERENCE HALL
A state of the art conference room is available in the premises to conduct conferences, seminars, workshops presentations, faculty interaction etc.
AC TRANSPORT
Keeping in mind the comfort of our children on the road as well, A.C. transport is provided covering all the areas of Gurgaon and DLF.
INFIRMARY
In order to provide immediate medical assistance to the students, a well equipped infirmary has been established within the school premises. Any ailment noticed during school hours is attended by a qualified nurse. Cases requiring treatment / consultation are referred to the Specialist.
All the students have medical cards where important entries are made after periodical checkups by our in house and outside qualified doctors and nurses.
CAFETERIA
Hygiene and cleanliness are the prime issues that are taken care of in the cafeteria. The kitchen is equipped with highly skilled staff to cook a variety of healthy and nutritious well balanced food for the children overseen by a qualified dietician.
KARATE-DO
Karate-Do is a part of our Curriculum. To impart a more systemic training of this art, the school has tied up with Shinto Ryu Seiko Kai Karate-Do India, New Delhi. This activity is conducted under the supervision of a specialized Coach.
Regular Exams are conducted by outside Examiners for each level of this sport, and certificates are issued accordingly.
INDOOR GAMES
To make the curriculum more interesting and effective, children are given ample chance to play and enjoy during the day. All these activities are taken after their nap/lunch. Besides providing enough opportunities for outdoor sports, the students are given option of indoor games as well.
BANKING
The branch of Corporation Bank in the school premises not only facilitates the students, their parents and faculty, but has also been a boon to the nearby area that uses the bank in their normal business and otherwise. The 24 hour ATM is also popular in the vicinity. Lockers facilities are also available in the branch.
STORE
Our well equipped store caters to all the school related requirements such as books, stationery, uniform etc. of the student’s less than one roof. It not only helps to meet their immediate requirements, but brings in uniformity and sets standards.
PERSONAL LOCKERS
Personal lockers are allotted to each student to keep their stationery, books and personal belongings.
SAND PIT
At MWS we have a big Sand Pit which has been created keeping in mind the proper development of the child’s motor skills. The children enjoy making mountains and many different shapes out of clay and sand.
SWINGS AND SLIDES
Children enjoy on the various swings, slides and other play stations installed in the play area specially earmarked for the purpose.
BAND
It is a great pleasure to see the children playing the school band and flutes in proper rhythm and tune. We have a trained professional to guide and teach them the various band instruments.
HORSE RIDING
Horse riding is great fun. We purpose to introduce Horse riding as a permanent activity in the academic year 2010-2011 to train the children in horse riding.
YOGA
Adhering to the age old saying "a healthy mind in a healthy body", all efforts are taken to ensure good health by teaching the children different asana to develop their concentration, span and spiritual values.
SKATING
A trained professional is available on the school campus to teach skating to the children.
DRAWING / PAINTING
Colors and drawing give a free and fair expression to pictures in the mind of children. They feel proud and happy while drawing and painting what is in their imaginations during the Drawing / Painting classes, which form a part of the curriculum.
DANCE / MUSIC
Teaching classical, ethnic and interactive dance forms by trained dance teachers hones the dancing talent of students. A trained musician teaches music, Indian and western, vocal and instrumental, to bring out the innate talent of our students.
TEACHING METHODOLOGY
We commit to an all round development and grooming of the child which acts as a stepping stone for their entry into the open world, coupled with strong foundation of social and moral values, inculcating the feeling of universal brotherhood, strengthening the bond with humanity beyond the nation, while maintaining the rich cultural heritage and values of our own society. Yes, all this is possible with the help of our well trained team of Educators, who are committed to develop their Emotional, Social, Academic and Physical Growth to enable them to perform as responsible members of our Community.
Other than the compulsory subjects like English, Mathematics and Science, prescribed by the Cambridge University, we have included Social Studies , Computer Science, Hindi and Value Education, in view of keeping the child at par with CBSE standards. Also, we follow different units of works (unit of inquiries) to open up the children according to the modern worlds requirement.
